This is a 3-day intensive Math programme conducted during the upcoming June school holidays to train P5 pupils to master the art of problem-solving using easy-to-use and efficient methods.
Dates: Tue 23/6, Wed 24/6, and Thur 25/6 (three 3 hr sessions)
Time: Mornings 9.30 am – 12.30 pm

Target Group & Purpose: P5 students who wish to learn the Storyline-Equation Method to solve challenging PSLE questions FAST and CORRECTLY. Students who are not adept at using the Bar Model method will find the Storyline-Equation method very useful. Other methods such as the Units Method and Branch Methods will also be covered.
The objectives of the programme are as follows:
- Review of problem-solving strategies to conquer Challenging PSLE maths problems involving concepts such as Cascading Remainders, Repeated Identity, Equal Concept, Unchanged Total, Proportions Concept, Constant Difference and Money-Quantity.
- Review and reinforcement of key topics such as Whole Numbers, Fractions, Ratio, Percentage and Area of a Triangle.

Tutor: Mr Ilyasa (M.Ed., PGDE, B.Sc, Ex-MOE Teacher, Full-Time Tutor of PSLE, ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level Math since 2004).
Mr Ilyasa has been coaching students in Primary, Secondary & JC Math for more than 10 years. An alumnus of RI and RJC, Mr Ilyasa holds both a Master of Education degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education with Credit from the National Institute of Education, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from the National University of Singapore.
