TRIAL LESSON (1.5 hrs, in-centre or online)
Costs of a one-off 1.5-hr trial lesson for Y1-Y4 is $120 (1-1) or $90 (group). Trial class timings will be arranged based on our discretion and assessment of your child’s needs.
A trial lesson serves as a diagnostics for your child, by looking into his/her previous schoolwork, exam papers, as well as watching how they respond to the lecture and tutorial content.
If your child continues to sign up with us, the cost of the trial lesson will be deducted from your first month’s fee, thus making it a FREE TRIAL LESSON.

BACKGROUND OF TUTORS:
Mr Li: Mr Li graduated from Hwa Chong Institution, where he scored four H2 As and H3 distinction in Physics. In the National University of Singapore, he majored in Physics and Mathematics, graduating with a B.Sc. with first class honours. He is passionate about teaching, especially in Physics and Mathematics. As someone who is familiar with both the IP and O/A-level system, he is able to help students from either stream. Furthermore, being active in physics research as a Master of Science student, he is able to help students who want to further their studies in the physical sciences, in addition to pursuing better results at school.
Mr Ilyas: An NIE-trained Teacher, Mr Ilyas has been coaching students in IP Math, IP Physics and IP Chemistry for more than 10 years. An alumnus of Raffles Institution, Mr Ilyas holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the NUS as well as a Master of Education (Curriculum & Teaching) degree from the National Institute of Education. Mr Ilyas’ thinking and metacognitive approaches to problem solving has helped many students of varying abilities to excel in Math and the Sciences. He has coached students from many different schools and streams, including IP, SAP, and IB.
Ms Tang: Ms Tang graduated from NTU with a B.Eng in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. She has been teaching students in O level and IP Chemistry, Physics and Biology, as well as International school students in IGCSE and IB Math and Sciences since 2009. An effective and caring tutor, she uses analogies and diagrams to explain and classify things for easier memorization; identifying and correcting students’ misconceptions and assumptions, understanding what students are confused about, and helping them to see where they have gone wrong. Ms Tang has helped many students achieve their desired results.
As there are already many sources of knowledge widely available from school, commercially or online, such as lecture notes, cheat sheets and even videos, our focus is on METACOGNITIVE THINKING SKILLS. An IP student must not just have knowledge and thinking skills; to stay ahead of his peers, he must also possess efficient study skills and metacognitive awareness of what he has learnt.
