We provide A-Level / H2 and O-Level Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) Practical training for private / school candidates and homeschoolers, for both local (eg. H2, Singapore-Cambridge) and international exams (CIE, IGCSE). School candidates are also welcome.
MOE/SEAB SYLLABUS FOR O-LEVEL SCIENCE (PHYSICS) PRACTICAL
Paper 5 (Practical) is weighted to 15% of the assessment.
Candidates may be asked to carry out exercises based on:
(a) measurements of
(i) length by using tapes, rules, digital calipers and digital micrometers
(ii) time interval (including period of a simple pendulum) by using digital stopwatches
(iii) volume of solids/liquids by using measuring cylinders
(iv) mass and weight by using electronic balances and spring balances
(v) temperature by using laboratory thermometers
(vi) current and voltage by using ammeters and voltmeters
(b) determination of the density of a liquid, or a regularly or irregularly shaped solid, that sinks in water
(c) determination of the value of acceleration of free fall
(d) investigation of the effects of balanced and unbalanced forces
(e) the principle of moments
(f) determination of the position of the centre of gravity of a plane lamina
(g) investigation of the factors affecting transfer of energy by thermal processes
(h) the law of reflection
(i) determination of the position and characteristics of an optical image formed by a plane mirror or a thin converging lens
(j) the refraction of light through glass blocks
(k) determination of the resistance of a circuit component
Above is not intended to be an exhaustive list. Reference may be made to the techniques used in these
experiments in the theory papers, but no detailed description of the experimental procedures will be required.
OUR STRUCTURED PRACTICAL TRAINING SYSTEM
Based on the above syllabus, we have several structured programs for you, depending on whether you are a private or school candidate.
PRIVATE CANDIDATES
If you are a private candidate, for each subject, you must complete 4 Basic practicals (preferably by 15 Apr) plus a further 2 Exam-Paper-Style practicals, before we issue you a certificate to acknowledge that you have completed a sufficient amount of practical training necessary for your actual exam. Beyond these 6 practical sessions, you may also opt to attend our Practical Crash Courses and our Practical Mock Exams in June, September or October.
SCHOOL CANDIDATES
If you are a current school candidate, you may select any of the training labs found in our schedule, and you are strongly encouraged to sign up early for our Practical Crash Courses and our Practical Mock Exams which will be held in June, September or October.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE:
The above is the ideal schedule for students who want to excel in their Physics practical exams, by starting in Jan and having a final practical revision or mock exam in Oct. The practical sessions are well spread out, giving students time to study the theory components as well as other subjects. Thus it is highly recommended that you commence your practical training in January.
