The answer is, YES.
As a gesture of appreciation, we offer discounts to students who join us EARLY in the year or those who take more than one subject. To students who join between February and May (inclusive), we offer an Early Bird Discount (EBD) of between $20 to $40 off their monthly fees. To students who join even earlier such as in between November and January (inclusive), we offer a Special Early Bird Discount (SEBD) of between $40 to $80 off their monthly fees.
Once determined, a student’s monthly tuition fee REMAINS THE SAME from the point of registration to the time he/she leaves the course (except in the case where a student drops a subject after being given a discount).
Other discount and incentive schemes available:
(1) If a student joins in Feb-May, the student can be given SEBD rates if he/she takes more than one subject. Each subject will be charged the same SEBD rate. The student will lose the discount if he/she drops the other subject(s).
(2) If a student joins in Jun-Oct, the student can be given EBD rates if he/she takes two subjects. If a student takes 3 or more subjects, he can be given SEBD rates. The student will lose the discount if he/she drops the other subject(s).
(3) Siblings who join at the same time in Standard Fee period can be given EBD rates, and siblings who join at the same time in EBD period can be given SEBD rates.
(4) Students or parents who recommend other students to successfully join existing classes on a permanent basis will be given a one-time cash gift of $30 for EVERY new student who joins, as a token of appreciation. This cash reward will be given not earlier than one month after the date of registration.

(2) 12.45pm – 2.30pm: ACJC / JJC
(3) 2.30 pm – 4.15pm: SAJC

Singapore Learner has been growing steadily since 2004 and we now need to expand further. As such we are looking for classrooms to rent in or near Bukit Batok so as to provide continuity and convenience to our existing students.

Change in Start Date of Lower Secondary Headstart Programmes to 18 Nov onwards
Dear interested Parents / Students,
I have to postpone the start date of the Secondary Headstart classes to 18 Nov onwards as there is a surge in demand for O-Level, A-Level and IB Math and Physics classes for the next two weeks and we need to free up more lesson slots.
However, from 5 Nov to 15 Nov I have planned a series of Secondary Consolidation classes for students who have performed poorly in this year’s SA2 exams. Students who are weak in Math and Physics should attend these Consolidation classes before attending my Headstart classes. Consolidation classes will focus on THIS YEAR’s topics while Headstart classes are meant for NEXT YEAR’s topics.

Education partnerships and ventures …
Hi, I’m Ilyasa, Principal Tutor at Singapore Learner. Singapore Learner has potential to grow and I’m planning to open a learning centre at Bukit Batok and either at Sengkang or Punggol.
If you are teacher-qualified (preferably), passionate about teaching and tutoring, keen to run an education business and are seeking a partner in this business, do give me a call (97860411) and we can have many rounds of discussions before making any commitments.
Now a bit about myself. I taught Physics in a secondary school for 3 years before striking out on my own to give tuition in Physics and Math at secondary and JC levels (since 2005). Currently I’m also a part-time lecturer in H2/H1 Economics. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree with Merit from the National University of Singapore, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education with Credit from the National Institute of Education, and a Master of Education (Curriculum & Teaching) degree also from the NIE. I’m 40 this year, happily married to a school teacher, and we have been blessed with three daughters, two of whom are still in primary school.
I look forward to working with anyone who is sincere and passionate about making a difference to the academic lives of students.
