Singapore Learner has been a Comprehensive Science Practical Training provider since 2017.

As at 19 Apr 2026, we have trained about 1060 students for their science practical exams and we have conducted a total of about 4044 lab sessions.

Our laboratory apparatus are exam-grade and similar to those used in MOE schools and our chemicals are all NEA-approved.

Topics: Oscillation, Mechanics, Electricity, and Planning

Skills and Content for Oscillation: Hands-on practice on a chosen Oscillation experiment; Percentage Uncertainty; Sources of Error; Short Planning Question.

Skills and Content for Mechanics: Hands-on practice on a chosen Mechanics experiment; Percentage difference and Percentage Uncertainty.

Skills and Content for Electricity: Hands-on practice on a Potentiometer experiment; Significant Figures; Tabling and Graphing; Anomalous data.

Skills and Content for Planning: Revision on Independent, Dependent and Control Variables; How to write the essential steps of an experiment and the conclusion; What are the common procedural and safety precautions;  Hands-on practice on one Planning question of a chosen topic; Examples of Planning for various topics (if time permits).

Students doing the older 9749 syllabus are expected to draw graphs and calculate gradients manually using graph paper.

Students doing the new 9478 syllabus (2026 onwards) are expected to draw graphs and make calculations using Excel spreadsheets (see link below):
